I’m Lorenz Gempper, an event photographer based in Frankfurt. I cover conferences, trade shows, award ceremonies, and receptions throughout the Rhine-Main region. I’m happy to discuss your event in English.

Photography for your event
The speech, the award presentation, the handshake—these are moments you don’t get to repeat. I prepare carefully so I’m in the right place when they happen, without drawing attention to myself.
I work with companies, communications teams, agencies, event planners, foundations, associations, and institutions across Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Mainz, Darmstadt, and Offenbach.
Conferences and panel discussions
From industry conferences and annual meetings to panel discussions, I photograph speakers, audience reactions, and the conversations in between. We review your schedule together in advance. If you need a second photographer for concurrent sessions or selected images during the event for LinkedIn or other channels, we can arrange that beforehand.
Trade shows and exhibits
I photograph your booth, team, products, and conversations with visitors at Messe Frankfurt and other trade show venues in the Rhine-Main region. Depending on the event schedule, you’ll receive an initial selection that evening or the next morning. If you need images while the show is still underway, we can arrange that in advance.
Award ceremonies and galas
I photograph speeches, award presentations, winners, and guests, with careful preparation for the moments that matter.
Receptions, official ceremonies, and company celebrations
Whether you’re planning an anniversary celebration or a summer party, I photograph speeches, guests of honor, and spontaneous conversations without interrupting the flow of the event.

Pricing
Packages for two to four hours of conference or reception coverage range from €480 to €980, depending on the duration and type of event. Packages include image selection, editing, and travel within Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region (up to 50 km).
Shorter and full-day packages are also available. I provide custom quotes for award ceremonies, official ceremonies, and trade show assignments. Special rates may be available for associations, foundations, and nonprofit projects.

How we’ll work together
1. Inquiry and quote
Send me the date, location, and type of event. You’ll usually receive an initial estimate within 12 hours. I’ll then prepare a quote outlining the coverage, delivery timeline, and usage rights.
2. Planning your coverage
You’ll work directly with me to plan the coverage, including the schedule, key people, and must-have shots. We’ll also discuss how you’ll use the photos and whether any guests prefer not to be photographed. I’ll photograph the event myself.
3. At your event
I arrive with time to prepare, plan where to be for each part of the event, and work discreetly in the background. I bring backup cameras and record each image to two memory cards at the same time.
If I’m unable to photograph your event, I’ll notify you immediately and work with you to arrange a replacement photographer who can provide the same standard of work. If we can’t agree on a replacement, I’ll refund all payments you’ve already made.
4. Selecting and delivering your photos
Depending on the event schedule, I’ll send you an initial selection that evening or the next morning. Your complete, edited gallery will usually be ready within 48 hours. Rush delivery within 24 hours is available by prior arrangement.
You’ll be able to download your photos from the gallery for four weeks, and I’ll send you a reminder before it goes offline. I keep the delivered images for five years from the delivery date. If you need them again, just get in touch.
5. Using your photos
You’ll receive your photos in the agreed formats for your website, social media, press, and print. If you’d like, I can also suggest which images would work best for each use.
About me
I’m a Frankfurt native. I started taking photographs more than 25 years ago, initially just for myself. I’ve been working with clients for over 15 years and have photographed more than 250 events, including several at the Paulskirche, Palmengarten, and House of Finance.
What still fascinates me are the small, unscripted moments: a glance into the audience, a laugh just before a speech, a spontaneous conversation. When I’m photographing your event, it has my full attention. Afterward, I carefully select the images, put together a cohesive collection, and review each photo before delivery, making individual adjustments where needed.
My background in finance shapes the way I work: clear priorities, careful planning, and reliable communication. At events, I wear dark, unobtrusive clothing and interact with your guests in a friendly, relaxed way. During speeches, I stay in the background and keep the focus on your guests.
I use 102-megapixel Fujifilm GFX medium-format cameras. The high resolution gives you flexibility to crop images for everything from LinkedIn posts to large banners. Depending on the lighting and the event, I work with available light or add subtle lighting where needed.
